Building & Facilities Officer
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 38 hours per week
Location: Newcastle, Hunter, Mid Coast, Port Macquarie NSW locations all considered.
Salary: $80,000 per annum + super and $15,900 in salary packaging

ð The opportunity
This is a fast-paced, highly varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll oversee a broad Northern NSW portfolioâfrom Coffs Harbour to the Central Coastâensuring our properties are well-maintained, compliant, and continuously improved.
Just as importantly, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our maintenance systems, reporting, and administration are accurate, up-to-date, and driving effective decision-making.
Success in this role will come from your ability to stay organised, manage your time effectively, and maintain exceptional attention to detail across both operational and administrative priorities.
ð§ What you’ll be doing
Coordinating repairs, maintenance, and planned works across your portfolio
Managing contractors and ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery
Conducting regular site inspections and identifying improvements
Maintaining accurate, real-time records of all maintenance activity in our Salesforce system
Managing work orders, tracking progress, and ensuring nothing is missed or delayed
Preparing clear and timely reports to support operational oversight and planning
Developing scopes of work, sourcing quotes, and supporting procurement processes
Supporting refurbishments, relocations, and minor capital works projects
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and service providers
â What you’ll bring
Proven experience in property or facilities management (or similar)
A strong administrative and systems mindsetâyou take pride in accuracy and keeping things up to date
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of work
Confidence coordinating trades, projects, and competing deadlines
A proactive, solutions-focused approachâyou anticipate issues and stay ahead
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Knowledge of commercial and residential property environments
A willingness to travel regularly throughout the Northern portfolio, including some overnight travel depending on base location.
Other requirements:
Current Driver Licence (minimum P2)
Willingness to undertake a Police Check
